The Project
Knox Promenade is an innovative mixed-use development that beautifully blends the historical essence of its district with modern architecture. Three high-rise towers are set to make a significant impact on the skyline, with each building offering distinct functionalities. The centerpiece will be a 32-story apartment building, additionally, a 250,000-square-foot office tower will provide ample workspace, while a senior housing high-rise, also reaching 32 stories, will offer 225 homes facing North Central Expressway.
A key feature of the high-rises will be the use of lightweight insulating concrete (LWIC) on the roofs as insulation material. This material not only provides excellent insulation but also facilitates the construction process. Pumping vertical heights of 32 stories is efficiently managed with LWIC, expediting the placement process. Its lightweight nature allows for a customized tapered insulation layout, ensuring that materials can be placed precisely as needed.
Fun fact our highest placement of LWIC has been at the Fontainebleau in Las Vegas NV reaching a vertical distance of over 700’.
